Lover lace is aaaaaamazing. I wanted to take this baby home, the SA’s sweetened the deal with 15% off but after plenty of umming and ahhing I sadly (read: wisely) left it. The lace was a little too choked and it’s definitely an occasion dress I wouldn’t wear nearly as much as the other one I chose. Full disclosure to occur after my graduation as my boy is yet to see it (yep he does read this but I could be wrong). I got a hair cut at Biba in Hawthorn, Tess is a lovely hairdresser and addressed all my needs and questions. I have a few more layers and a fringe to hide behind for winter that will take getting used to, it’s a little sweet, a little harajuku, and so far loving it!
My dear friend J and two of her girlfriends held an Australia’s Biggest Morning tea. We were invited to eat sweet and savoury treats buffet style to raise money for the Cancer Council. C and I rocked up in coordinating outfits! Got the chance to pig out on macarons, catch up on news of grad jobs, holidays and varying quarter life crises! They managed to raise $750 which in my humble opinion was a huge success.
We dedicated Saturday to hit the books at State library. It took the edge off our hectic internships somewhat. The boy loves the architecture there whilst I was more keen to duck out for food. We slipped in to Melbourne mode and had a coffee and bagel at Manchester Press, a hole-in-the wall joint down an otherwise derelict lane way. And that’s how you get a little more ready for Monday!
My boyf’s sis made these breakfast bars the other day. Neatly wrapped and tied with string. Tasted like love and berries. I am going to have to whip up a batch of my own but in the meantime the recipe is going in my ever growing “to-cook” pile for after exams.
